Regional landmines and cluster munitions advocacy

JRS has campaigned against the use of landmines since 1990 and cluster munitions since 2008, and is a founding member of the Thailand Campaign to Ban Landmines. As a member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, Tun Channareth and other JRS advocates accepted the award when the ICBL received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997.

JRS plays a leading role in the campaign and has contributed to research on Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia for the Landmine Monitor. In addition to supporting landmine survivors in Cambodia, Thailand, Bosnia and Kosovo, JRS actively raises awareness of the issue in these and other landmine-affected countries.
