Since March 2011, unrest in Syria has led to the displacement of approximately two and a half million people. According to the UN refugee agency (UNHCR), more than 400,000 Syrians have fled to neighbouring countries causing increased strain upon governments and local communities. Displacement within Syria has left more than a million without access to basic amenities.
JRS is currently providing accompaniment, emergency items, and psychosocial support for displaced Syrians. JRS continues to conduct needs assessments in different locations in the region seeking to fill gaps amongst existing services.
We appreciate your assistance.
